OK, so I didn't think coming up with a clever name that had 3K's in it would have another meaning. So today I went to Target and the thrift store and got clothes to mail to Kentucky for Kozy Klothes 4 Kids. Putting a 4 in there should set your minds at ease. Yikes, people!
BTW Target has some great prices on fleece tops and other Kozy Klothes.

Dress a Girl Around the World pattern
Dress a Girl Around the World
Click on the Dress A Girl link to find out how to make a pillowcase dress. You can use fabric too. Make it out of flannel, knit or wool, add a t-shirt and it's a cold weather outfit for a girl in Kentucky. See my previous post to know where to mail them.
Thanks!

Clean out your closets!
As you know, we have been busy making dresses and prayer dolls for little girls all over the world through Hope4Women's Dress A Girl Around the World project. (10,700 and counting!) Last summer DAG founder Rachel Cinader met Claudia Kerns who lives in Kentucky and has partnered Dress A Girl with the Christian Appalachian Project. For the next two months, until Dec. 23, I am asking you to join me in helping these needy children right in our country. Both boys and girls need warm clothes. I'm calling it Kozy Kids Klothes for Kentucky. (OK, work with me here) Here is the email Claudia sent to me. Please clean out your kids' closets, shop at garage sales, thrift stores or store sales and pick up and mail these much needed items to Claudia. Put a little note in so she knows how you found out about the project. She will be the Lord's hands and feet to serve these little American children who are cold. God has richly blessed us, let's be a blessing! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
Thanks SO much, Carolyn
From Claudia : "I am working with CAP, Christian Appalachian Project. This is where Rachel has made contact and this group has the capacity to reach the ones that need help. They have a “head start” so to speak, a women’s shelter, drug rehab and many other programs. CAP is located about 20 miles from my home and so this makes a good marriage.
Here is a list of needs.
Warm pajamas
Dresses
Socks
britches
Undies
Anything warm
From babies, preschool and elementary school sizes.
It is almost like a 3rd world country in eastern KY.

Sewing parties
We only have 4 sewing parties left this year: Oct. 21, 23/Nov. 13 and 17. Call me at 970-776-9029 if you can come. Our next dresses will be going to El Salvador in Jan.
Rainy is also fired up to send warm clothes especially pj's to Appalachia. If you want to help with that project too, let me know.
God bless you all.

More dresses going out
We are also sending 100 dresses, undies and dolls, baby clothes and thread with the Hope4Kids team going to Uganda in early Nov. Thanks Life Spring, Diane, Lucy and Linda.
We're saving the shorts for the Spring trip. In addition, we're sending about 80 (we lost count!) dress kits with the H4KI team to Uganda so the ladies at Smile Africa can make dresses for their Karamojong children in the north. They will travel in a delegation next Spring to bring peace and the Gospel to the source of their tribe. How awesome that these dresses will be a gift of peace and grace from God.
Thanks Janet, Juliana, Pat and Mary for helping me put the kits together and to all who donated pillowcases, fabric and notions. Thanks Cheryl for taking them to Uganda for us!

Dresses to Guatemala
Here are some of the dresses and baby blankets going to Guatemala. In addition to the 125 we already gave Jean to take to Guatemala later this month, we just got 24 more. Thanks to Rosella for making these additional dresses as a nod to her daughter whom she and her husband adopted from Guatemala 34 years ago. I'll take pix of those tomorrow and post them.
